She decided go on a journey to find the Lord’s tomb and the crosses on which Christ and the two thieves were crucified. She found the Holy Cross and then funded the construction of Christian churches throughout the Roman Empire. She died around the year 237 AD at the age of 80 years old. The relics of Saint Helen are found in Venice. She is considered the patron saint of spouses. The Church celebrates the memory of Saint Helen and her son on the 21st of May.
